Personally, I have no objection to people of the same sex marrying each other if that is what they want to do.

Suppose that my friend's wife croaked and he could not afford health insurance. If I then married him he and his children would be covered under my health insurance. It should not make a difference that I'm already married, since bigamy would not be an issue. If I decided to start a commune and married all the men in it, then would they not be covered under my health insurance?

See, where does this stop? Is it OK for adult men to marry pubescent girls that they love? What about pubescent boys?

Does society have the right to put boundaries on what is acceptable? Does it have the right to limit what it will pay for?

I don't like the idea of paying more for my health insurance because it covers people that it would not cover otherwise.
