I wonder if he was on the short list of TanAngelos "friends" You don't need to wonder. He was. The Countrywide agent processing the case has publicly stated that Angelo personally intervened in the mortgage process to make sure Dodd got the special treatment because Dodd failed to meet Countrywide's official criterion for that treatment. I am off to Canada this week to look for our new home. You have to be a permanent resident of Canada for 3 out of 4 years to qualify for Canadian citizenship. The Mrs., after reading and understanding the bank bailout bill, has finally agreed the US is headed for the dumpster.
