x86 cpu processes don't get that sort of defect density and neither AMD or Intel are claiming they do. If they did tri-core Phenoms would not be produced in quantity, the proof really is in the pudding. 0.03 might be an eventual target but they were actually getting 1 with their first attempt at EUV 45nm. AMD's current DD must be in the 0.3-0.4 range going by the December slide taken in conjunction with the July slide which is compatible with a lot of tri-cores being produced.
