Maybe I'll be wrong and some breath of fresh air will come along in a year or two to speed up the process -- I don't know about you, but I don't have enough time left on this earth to be able to piss away the next 10-15 years waiting on a banking system that wants to take the Japanese-style slow lane to repairing itself instead of cleaning out the rot ASAP and starting over

I say let the weakest links in the banking chain go bankrupt, even if just to get them away from the feeding trough. Failure is part of the process -- that's how the capitalist system works, and it's a large part of how we got this far as a society -- instead however there's a few unelected individuals like Paulson pushing the country into banking socialism in order to save a handful of their business pals

This bailout program reminds me of the line "Never have so many done so much for so few". I wonder how much of TV nation even understands what's happening
