Believe means they bought 4M lbs at 75, delivered at 1.55 and will book the profit over those months.

Example of how hedging can be beneficial with good entry.

Implies they think lead may be bottoming and want to lock in
the profit now rather than lose part of it later through monthly
deliveries of their own lead.
