You know, everybody whined when Bush fired a few US attorneys but nobody said a peep when Clinton fired the entire bunch of them.

Bush should have been more aggressive. He even kept one of Clinton's appointments on the CIA. He should have cleaned house big time.

I have no personal knowledge of the allegations against Stevens, nor of those against Don Young. I supported them, but I hold them to the same standard as anyone else in a position of power. Under my standards, Kennedy, Schumer, Dodd, and a whole bunch of democrats would have been ridden out of town on a rail a long time ago.

My town had a very embarrassing incident with a Republican mayor, and he was recalled. He's dead now, which is probably a good thing.

Politicians have to be squeeky clean. If not, get the hell out.
