I know that story...have to have my left knee replaced for the same reason as yours....Did the right one, and yes, it does take some time to deal with it, and therapy, exercises, etc are a MUST. But while it took nearly two years for things to get back their original normal, it was SO much worth it....I can walk without a cane, and at a fairly good clip on even pavement. However, watch out for gravel ...one roll of your ankle, you will be **splat** on the ground....That is what happened to me after two arthoscopies....broke my arm in 6 places, then it didn't heal after 5 months in a cast, so had to have a plate and screws in....Then had the right knee replaced.

So don't wait much longer. I found it just doesn't get better. It just gets worse until you do get it fixed.

The SynVis was a possible temp measure for me after the two 'scopes, and before the replacement had to be done. After the fall, I had to get the arm healed, then it was "into surgery, don't pass Go, just don't want to have that happen again"....

Good Luck!!!
