Sonny:

Feeling bad yet? I can get some novicane for you. Merck is having a fire sale on the stuff to supplement its falling stock price. I cannot image any of the root canals I have had done without novicane. You must have been a Green Beret.

Well, today was another blood bath. I sold some intel to cut down my exposure...all in all I am probably ahead on Intel, but who's figurin'. I dumped all my Sunw, a little late. It was my second largest holding, behind Intel, so my portfolio has been set back about 6 months with the losses in Intel and Sunw. It will be awhile until it sees 60 and in the meantime I need to make some money to recover a bit. So I moved into CPQ during the last five minutes of today. We'll see if it continues its downward spiral. About 6-8 weeks ago it dropped down to 59 intraday but ended up 10 points higher. Looks like it has support in the 65 area. Today it went through its 50 day moving average by a little bit - during the last 5 minutes, but that is where it ended.

I am also thinking about adding to my IOM position Monday. I have Feburary 25s but the Novembers are a lot cheaper. I am also thinking about buying some puts against MSFT on Monday as I think it may go down after earnings. You said you thought it would make its numbers. Is that the consensus from what you are reading? What does it have to promise going forward for the 4th quarter?

Hope Monday is better. Some people are saying that we are trading between 7600-8300 (real astute for anyone who can read a newspaper)and that if so we could get to 7600 real quickly, which is fine with me if that is the end of it. As always, we'll see.

Clinton
