I suppose I should have conceded that I am biased in my thoughts of lawyer value.

In my adult business life I've needed over a dozen to cure problems where I was the Plaintiff.....they all failed.....but they got paid. I'm writing a book on what to look out for when you hire counsel in PA....it's bound to be a best seller....Haaaaaaa!

Hell, I had one guy that couldn't even determine who owned the land (right of way) between two properties....I owned west and my neighbor owned east....I wanted to know who owned the strip down the middle......$600 later he said..."I give up."......I hired a forester once to do a selective cut of red oak and cherry on my personal property where my home was sitting....6 acres....very secluded...but too thick.....the logger destroyed the place....it looked like pork chop hill when he was done. The forester gave him back his security deposit after I complained...I sued the forester....the damage to reclaim was over $9,000.....before it even got close to court the lawyer billed for over $6,500. at his 50% rate and wanted 50% of the win......Hell...I owed him if we won.

I fully understand why there are millions of lawyer jokes.
