Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others.

Well, until the Romans came to the UK, everyone pretty well p*ss*ed and chitted anywhere and everywhere as they saw fit. No rules, no government.

Then came the Romans. Concentrated troops who needed things like sewers, farms, taxes and proper organization to survive.

They clobbered anyone and everyone as they were the stronger force.

Since that time people have come to understand the words "civic work" and projects like public buildings, roads, bridges and even sewers.

Arty fiction writers can talk pie in the sky about freedom etc but every one of those skyscrapers needs plumbing.

The Romans bought us plumbing. "plumbing" is a latin word in origin.

Thus you need government, minimal government perhaps, but it is very necessary as there is no nation without it.
