Why don't you explain to the nice people on this thread how the free markets protected us from our addiction to oil, o wise one? I don't believe free markets can protect us from the incompentent acts of legislators. We have known we had a problem since Carter brought us long gas lines in the 70s. And then Reagan stepped in and stopped Carter's energy reforms, claiming the Free Markets will take care of us. Too bad Reagan is not here to see the mess he created.
