McBush's campaign now admits that they lied about this. Obama was going to visit the troops with a retired general - no media - but the Pentagon said that since the retired general was part of his campaign, he couldn't go. Link? Curious though, I'm running out of fingers counting how many times the Obama camp has changed the story of why Obama and his "bipartisan" field trip didn't visit the troops...
