Not even close to true. 5 pounds of underinflation is not nearly flat. "In fact, my last two cars have had tire pressure monitors that will hound the shit out of you if any of them is low." Good for you. Now, what percentage of cars have tire inflation monitors? None of mine have. Of course, I don't drive luxury cars, SUVs or trucks... "There wasn't a shred of reality in what that liar said." Not true. I know you badly want it to be that way, but it isn't.
