Kirk, In order to post images of any sort, including stock charts, I settled on using a software package that enables "screen capture". I first became interested in using this approach when viewing all the great charts that Gottfried has been posting all these past years of information obtained from SEMI and SIA. Gottfried has been using a software package called Snagit. I purchased the software and I have been using it ever since.

Once the screen capture has been accomplished using Snagit, the program has a full set of "tools" that allow editing and pasting of almost any sort. After editing as desired, the image can be saved to the hard disk, ready to be inserted into a post. SI's new "image upload" feature(available when writing a post) provides for uploading the stored image from the hard disk into server storage for viewing in the finished post.

I like the "screen image" approach because images, including charts, can be copied from any source such as a spreadsheet, charting websites, etc.

I hope this answers your questions. Any further info needed, please let me know.
