But I think your answer on desktop use provides at least part of the answer: in some modes, Skype use can be demanding. "I'm not aware of any specific performance testing." Well, I wasn't thinking of that, so much as simple statements of user experience, such as the blog entry that started this discussion (VoIP using a Nokia N95, I believe). I'm a little surprised. In the heady discussions about all-IP and convergence on mobile networks, this issue has hardly received any attention at all. Jim
