Joe said That brings up another question. Why are so many people saying these negative things about Brinker? Why is he being attacked?
Why are you doing so? My answer? Because he's made some mistakes, and consequently some of his investors have made investment mistakes, and some people can't get over it. A better question it seems to me, is why do some people hang on to old animosities for so long that they make an avocation out of it?
It isn't just by the people you call bashers but it also included some of his customers. Remember Brinker shut down his own message boards that were limited to subscribers only. Did it ever occur to you that these people might have some legitimate grievances with Brinker?
Yes, I do remember. I was there. I experienced it as very rude and very disappointing, and I criticized too. OTOH, looking back over almost eight years, I have to ask myself, as someone said, if you invited guests to your house party, and all the guests did was complain about everything you served up and angrily castigated you in public and hollered about your failures and mistakes, and turned the party into a nasty ongoing free-for-all against yourself as host, would you not just ask them to leave, shoo them out the door if you have to, and lock the door behind them?
Yes, people have legitimate grievances and they have a right to express them. But eight years of repetitive tripe long ago ceased to be realistically within the realm of legitimate grievance, IMO. |
