I haven't been following your foreclosure buy, whereabouts is it?

We have a friend who's getting divorced and looking around for a place to live. (She's a divorce lawyer, the poor guy is doomed LOL).

She's seeing flipper foreclosures around San Jose Japantown for like $400k which had changed hands for $600k (numbers are third hand, may be a bit off). She's thinking that's not a bad deal. Renting doesn't work for her because of a kid, dog, 3 cats and a ferret.

I'm doubtful they're at bottom. But worst case she gets a house near work and school, and she'll probably be back even in nominal terms within a few years at worst.
