"we would have massive investments" There's the mistake. "We" don't have massive investments. The Oil companies do and they have proven NOT to invest them in alternatives to the amount that makes much difference. That's like expecting the fox to pitch in on a better lock on the Hen House. I'm afraid "we" won't benefit much and the country only puts off dependence from Oil as an energy source.
