If you look at what historically happened in the industry, TCOMA and the other big players have always dictated what price they would buy equipment at because they were in control of their own upgrade cycle - with the addition of MSFT and soon (I guess) to be others into the industry, they are going to be forced to build out their systems faster then they had expected and were able to in the past - My thinking is that companies that are not in the cable equipment industry currently are realizing this also and will try to make inroads into the equipment idustry by acquiring ANTC, NLV, and others - Ask yourself why did the head of NLV step down after spending so many years trying to get to the top of the company unless there was a change in focus at the company? The whole communications industry is changing so fast that anything is possible - who would have thought that a company from Mississippi would bid to acquire MCIC??????
