Whether or not procreation is the object of sexual behavior, or whether that is the basis of the imperative, the only way the group can expand is by recruitment. You make gays sound like Shriners or something. They could care less about "expanding the group". They would just like to be accepted, given the same rights that everyone else has and be left alone to live their lives. DISCLAIMER: I have three sons and one of them is gay. His being gay was not a matter or upbringing or "recruitment", he just was.
