Yes, we have to get beyond this foolish idea that weaning ourselves off fossil fuels will ruin the economy. Just how well is it serving us now to be *dependent* on fossil fuels? Alternative energy will CREATE American jobs, not destroy them. Yes, it is more expensive. It requires massive upfront capital investment. But that money isn't going overseas to our enemies, and it will pay dividends forever.

I can't believe this garbage about a $1000 tax break coming from Obama, either. I thought he was above that kind of pandering. If you want to blow another $200B on the Uncle's credit card, lets invest it in something sensible, not blow it on a weekend joyride again.
