"Let your foot rarely be in your neighbor's house, lest he become weary of you and hate you." Proverbs 25:17

A) Let your foot rarely be in
- Note, it doesn't say never. Do you know your neighbor?
- It does say, don't overdo it, however.
- Does this excuse you if you are footless? Perhaps not. You may have a very special message to share.
B) Your neighbor's house
- Bake a loaf of home-made bread---greet them---show some care and concern---just don't make a nusiance of yourself
- Or---do you ever plan on meeting your neighbor? Be old-fashioned, meet him/her/them
C) Lest he become weary of you and hate you
- A good rule of thumb. Leave "too soon." They'll wish you had stayed longer.
- A bad rule of thumb. Stay too long. They'll turn the light off and hide the next time they see you coming.
- Go with/for good cause. Be pleasant, kind, thoughtful. Do all you can to push their "green button."

Postlude
Rarely is a good word to remember.
But remember, rarely also means at least once in a while

J.
I have neighbors that live close by
I don't know what makes them laugh or cry
I'll bake them a loaf of bread
And not wait 'til I am dead
To hopefully seem them in the bye and bye
