A Letter to the SEC Chairman, Christopher Cox

Sparky Santos writes in the WSJ: Readers should take particular note of how Cox just can’t seem to resist inserting the adjective "abusive" before the phrase naked short selling; something the SEC has done for years now! Why is that?! When would all the naked short selling that lands hundreds of companies on the Threshold Securities List not be "abusive?"

Similarly, in another sentence, Cox inserts the word "illegitimate" before the phrase naked short selling! Why is that?

Also, note how Cox states that the SEC has "attacked" naked short selling with Reg SHO, designed to "restrict" naked short selling. What a joke! What attack?

Where are the indictments, who are the defendants, why are there still - 4 years after Reg SHO was first adopted – over 400 companies on the Reg SHO Threshold Securities list, and why do 99% of the related Public Comment Letters condemn the SEC in precisely the same manner I now am?

And why say n your editorial Cox that Reg SHO "restricts" naked short selling; why can't you just bring yourself to use the verb "ban" naked short selling?

And as for your agancy's implied defense that things are just too complicated for us lay people to comprehend; you ought to dump that spin too. Just read a random handful of the public letters Cox and you can see that most investors understand things far better than you do!

To conclude, it has become quite apparent that you are either corrupted to the bone or just plain incompetent; and accordingly, it is the sincere opinion of this well-seasoned observer that your only sensible option is to promptly resign.
