WE created al Queada AND the Taliban with our backing of the Jihadists during the 1980s in their fight against the Russians. We financed their training and armed them. After the Russians were forced to pull out we just turned our backs on them and let the whole Festering Fundamentalist Fiasco take over Afghanistan. It's not like 9/11 cost billions of dollars or anything. $100k probably financed the WHOLE thing. bin Laden could have been killed in 1998 and it probably wouldn't have made any difference regarding 9/11.
