The queen ask:

" What's so wrong with Brinker (if true) protecting his name and his reputation by all legal means from defamation by those whose goal is simply to defame him out of their never-ending anger and disappointment?"

I see your point. Brinker is upset at people who are quoting his exact words. There is nothing that I can think of that would be more damning to Brinker's reputation than some of the things he has said and written. For example the Oct 2000 act immediately bulletin. His words on Moneytalk for years saying that he would go 100% into cash to avoid bear markets. His call to lump sum into this market at the 1400 level just prior to the beginning of the current bear market. His advice to avoid gold when it was much lower than it is today. His questionable tax advice to various callers to Moneytalk. Yes if I wanted to protect Brinker's reputation I would do everything I could to keep people from fining out some of the colossal mistakes he has made over the years. The best way to do that is to cover them up. I understand why you don't blame him for doing this. It would be bad for his business if he didn't.
