As MSFT sql server scales up in performance oracle's 10x price disadvantage and inferior OS integration* will be a major issue for the emerging mid range market.* Good point. In the past, Microsoft has skillfully exploited the OS integration issue against Lotus, Borland, and a host of lesser competitors. A high-end DBMS like Oracle has a bigger kernel footprint than, say, the average office application and therefore is even more susceptible to Microsoft's trickery. I see a lot of happy lawyers in both companies' future. PTB
