- Some of the best oysters and seafood in the nation.
- Very mild weather, even with the rain.
- Very liberal mindset, like San Francisco.
- Cheaper real estate compared to California. (OK, that goes for most of the nation, but if you're an ex-Californian who has to choose between Seattle and Phoenix, some people might prefer evergreens and rain over cacti and scorching sun ...)
- No state income tax.
