They argue for less than a livable wage. How mean spirited is that? No, they (I) argue that the economy simply cannot tolerate paying unskilled workers $18/hour for flipping hamburgers or stocking shelves. Your argument is totally devoid of common sense. Not all employees are WORTH $37K/year. You apparently have never been an employer. When you hire a $37K/year employee it doesn't cost you 37K (the true cost of a 37K salary is closer to 50K). You cannot run a business profitably and pay shelf-stockers and cashiers that kind of money. Geez man, apply a little common sense, if you have it.
