Re: Bush, Smoosh. Although he's been a rather bumbling, inarticulate, somewhat below average president, he's neither a devil nor a saint.

We spent 200 years making the United States a beacon of hope and truth for the world.

In 8 short years the Republicans under Bush made us into supporters of torture, and managers of concentration camps full of unindicted victims.

We spent 12 years under Good Bush and (often bad) Clinton busting our asses to get the US deficit under control - the Republicans under Bush turned those saved billions over to their cronies.

What the Republicans under Bush have done to the brave soldiers in our armed forces is obscene. Forced triple tours of duty, National guard battalions sent overseas for multiple tours of duty. Their safety as prisoners forever compromised by the Republican's endorsement of torture against prisoners of war.

It goes far beyond disgusting. And Bush is far worse than "somewhat below average."

If you voted for him, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Bush wouldn't have won a second term except for John McCain's emphatic endorsement of him as the perfect Commander in Chief.

There's a perfect example of McCain's judgment and military expertise.
