Most of the public associates congress with the Republicans right now.

That's why Dems are favored over Reps. by about 15 points on a generic basis.

Even if McCain wins the Presidency, the Democrats are still expected to conrol a pretty good majority in both houses.

I "cringe" every time I hear Pelosi's name and I'm not too crazy about Reid either, but the "average guy" on the street just knows that things haven't been going well and he tends to blame the Republicans for that.

I'm beginning to think that the best solution might be a McCain Presidency and a Democrat controlled congress.
