>>The concept is that Obama will be more like Clinton and less like Carter and balance the Federal budget. And, unlike Bush, he will support American innovation with a strong dollar and a return to tech/biotech growth vs. dirt and mineral growth.<<

you, of all people, realize that clinton's "economics" was based on the new economy lie and biggest bubble stock market in the history of the world.

i doubt we get a repeat of that, as we have yet to pay for the associated bust of clinton's stock market bubble.

btw, how *exactly* has obama said he'd support american innovation? that's a nice sound bite that everyone wants to hear... which makes it a prime candidate for a political lie. that's why details are important.

given that some estimates put CURRENT healthcare obligations at $500k per american family and obama's talking about dramatically increasing healthcare obligations and taxes sure to increase pretty dramatically, i see a world of hurt coming down on an incredibly unhealthy nation as even our current generation of thieves realize we've already bankrupted future generations and their isn't much left

oh, and doesn't a stronger dollar imply higher interest rates?

i suppose the dem thinking is higher taxes and higher interest rates will spur innovation, just like 75k fewer student and $15 BILLION more means teacher layoffs.

>>In California, Reagan pretty much ruined the school system by cutting off its life supply of funds. He always figured that he was dumb and went a long way in life, so why can't everyone else remain ignorant. Plus, dumb people will vote GOP.<<

i don't believe i've ever supported a republican, so i'm not sure why you bother bringing those bums up as a counter point. it doesn't counter my point, rather, it reinforces my point - that's my point - they ALL are bums. pathological lying, narcissistic, megalomaniac bums.

we'll agree that the republicrats are bums. the issue is whether the demicans are bums - and i think the evidence is clear.

>>Don't you have a Republicrook governor who promised to balance the budget?<<

yes, and he's a pathological lying, narcissistic, megalomaniac bum - just like them ALL.

again, we agree the pubs are rotten apple bums.

so, you think we are another dem stock market bubble away from fiscal "responsibility?" after all, that was basically clinton's claim to fame. take away the bubble and the finances pretty much looked like crap, as they *always* do.

now, clinton's crap might look pretty good compared to bush's crap, but it's still crap.

i hope you are right, but i think betting the other way is about the easiest money there is.
