I don't pretend to understand creation. There was an article in National Geographic about the Hadron Collider in Bern being built to the tune of $6 billion that's supposed to discover particles like the Higgs particle, the supposed God particle that must have existed a fraction of a second after the Big Bang.

I suppose there is some utility for finding a Higgs particle that I don't understand.

A program I watched about the same topic said something like "First there was nothing, and out of this came everything."

Stephen Hawking talks about the singularity where the entire universe is compressed to a particle smaller than the head of a pin, and blows up from that to what it is now, which is so vast as to defy measurement and comprehension.

In a place the size of the universe, there must be another planet where intelligent life has evolved, perhaps to a race superior to our own. I personally believe that it is more likely than not. But I also believe that we'll never sit face to face with these aliens, unless some Star Trek transportabeam or wormhole transporter gets developed, which I doubt is survivable.

I suspose you are right, that such a race would be so superior they could sneak in and grab our gold without us even knowing about it.

Your notion that we are more likely to be wiped out by a meteor or comet is probably correct.
