After all, he thinks Bush is a good president.

I think Bush has made huge mistakes in the prosecution of the war -- mostly due to his loyalty to Rumsfeld. I think he has made huge mistakes in accommodating the liberals -- thinking they would be more cooperative as a result. That was foolish -- and it has resulted in spending that should never have happened.

Accommodating liberals? You outdo yourself. There has been little to no accommodation. Until 2006, he did not have to do squat vis a vis liberals and didn't, and since 2006, he has very actively used his veto. During this period, the executive branch has grown in power while Congress's has diminished.

That said, I do believe Bush has done a few things exceptionally well. He HAS protected the nation from further terrorist attacks, he HAS decimated AQ, he HAS corrected earlier errors and won the war in Iraq, he HAS taken back our sovereignty from the UN, he HAS stood up to the liberal congress on SOME issues, and he WILL be remembered favorably for these things.

There is very little proof to what you claim. Its why Bush is so hated. History may change the current perspective on Bush but I doubt it. I believe Bush will be seen for what he is.....a poor little rich boy who could not find his niche until politics catapulted him into power. Then he went on to damage his country considerably. He is a son who brings his father to tears.

You have a hard time admitting to those facts because you voted for him twice.

He HAS shown more political courage than any Democrat in my lifetime.

What you call "political courage" the rest of us call stupidity.
