The Rifleman personifies the values that I grew up with. Oh sure, it was Hollywood. I doubt anybody really had a tricked out rifle like that. But there were heroes like Lucas McCain, and they are very important to me.

I wish everybody had the heroes I have. Most of them are real people, not actors. But I appreciate depictions of honor like those.
