Thanks for the pointer, Liam. The paragraph that really gets me in the _Houston Chronicle_ is:

Sounds like CPQ is trying to emulate AT&T. Sure, splits are nice but to keep the share price 'around $35' sounds as if this thing is going to do a heck of a lot of splitting down the line. I'm not sure how I feel about this. In the back of my mind I'd rather have (i.e.) 10,000 shares at 70 than 2000 shares at $35.
