I used to respect Greenspan, years ago, now he seems so out of touch with reality it is really amazing that anyone listens to him. ...his lack of ownership of this problem is simply astounding. He probably is talking to his interest, and I don't know why he didn't see a problem in mortgage abuse 5 years earlier. He even (as a Fed Chairman) recommended people to do ARM mortgages while he said "the rates will be very low"...... What was he thinking ??? He seems to me as one of the conspirators out there .
