But nobody ever thought about sinks

Hospital layouts suck. Impressive front end, lousy back end. When I was recovering from my Kidney op, I was amazed at how badly the bathrooms were set up. We had a ward-full of overweight Hawaiians trying to wipe themselves with the worst designed toilet paper I have ever seen. A purchasing agent's delight. So thin you could read a newspaper through it. Guy in the bed next to me was reduced to tears when he had to have an attendant wipe him.

I have read that "studies show" that the difference in healing time between a private room and a shared one can be as high as 30%. I believe it.
