Do me a frigging favor......deflate your tires to 26-28 PSI and drive on them for a week. If you don't see a difference in gas consumption that you are nothing more than a lying idiot.

I don't need to -- others have.

No lesser authority than Edumunds says:

Test #5 Check Your Tire Pressure

Result: Important for safety and to reduce tire wear

Cold Hard Facts: No measurable effect on the vehicles we tested

Recommendation: Check your tire pressure often but don't expect a big savings.

They ended up underinflating by 8 lbs in an effort to move the needle. Nope.

Obama's an idiot, and so are the rest of you for eating that bullshit up.

There is evidence that OVER-inflating tires can yield better mileage at the expense of safety and tire wear. But marginal underinflation will have no noticeable effect on gas mileage.

Also, it is important to remember that liberals ALWAYS, ALWAYS overstate the case on stuff like this. So, when you hear bullshit like, "It is estimated that 25% of cars have underinflated tires", you know you're getting a liberal line of bull.
