Cookie Monster, part 2.

...Followed quickly in my e-mail was the following---glad I don't use aol....too much to think about.

I think I will need more than an anonymous letter from someone who may or may not be a former AOL employee
to scare me away from an upgrade that may be offered by AOL.

The real "cookie monster" may be the originator of this warning letter. By the time it gets back to him he will
have one helluva mailing list of very naive people.

It's true that AOL has a long way to go before we can call them an outstanding online service. They have a lousy
e-mail program and they need to improve their Internet browser. Things in general also run very slowly when
there is a lot of traffic.

But they are not going to do something like this to their members. Why?
Because they already make far more from only a few of their advertisers than all of their members put together.
They are in a numbers game. The more members they have, the more they can charge for advertising. It's
ridiculous to think that they would jeapordize everything just to spy on people.

Let's give AOL the benefit of the doubt. :)
((Sorry this post is not trading-related but I know a lot of RTs are AOL members and I don't want to see panic
over nothing))
