Well.....that's progress. So you do agree domestic crude oil deposits are running out. Do you see any reason the domestic production curve is going to change no matter how much drilling is done? (Don't tell me, "miracles do happen")

re: Shale..... Given our energy situation, no one will block shale oil production when someone shows they know how to extract it in an environmentally acceptable way.... If shale was economically practical and clean, we'd be mining it now....no one would stop it. Developers have been experimenting with shale for about 100 years... Liquifaction of coal may be easier and we have plenty of coal.. And no one is stopping oil sands mining in Canada.....but there is no comparison to shale. And what do you think of the Boone Pickens proposal???? I like it...

But do you realize "how much oil could be produced" if every motorist saved a gallon/day....eg 15-20 miles not driven..? This is true instant production, not the phony let's drill now plans....
