I have health insurance in case of a catastrophic event like a bad car accident or a heart attack. I already use the local drugstore for things like shots and small stuff. Thanks for your suggestions. I just had a long conversation with my cousin who is an MD. He agrees that the medical system in this country is fukked.....for a whole bunch of reasons found on all sides. He said its gotten so bad that people are taking advantage of the confusion resulting in doctor's fees, hospital fees etc that are over the top. Not only that but he said Americans are becoming more and more unhealthy, causing us to get serious diseases at a younger and younger age. Its not unusual for children to get what was hitherto adult diseases. He gave me some suggestions for getting a lower premium. I will check them out. Its pretty depressing stuff.
