Hillary is going to challege Barack at the convention? Man, I'll be cranking up the TIVO on that. Interesting parallel you draw between HHH and McCarthy. McCarthy was the anti war candidate...the DEM party wasn't ready for him... Dems then were even right of current PUBs. KOAN: Jim, if Macarthy had won, or if Kennedy had not been killed the dems would have won the election. They were ready. Remember the dems voted LBJ out. LBJ quit the primary race just a couple of days before Macarthy would have beat him in either the Minn or wisconsin? primary. LBJ quit to avoid being humiliated by saying: "I will not run, nor will I accept, the nomination of my party for the presidency of the United States.
