Lets see Ted, This country won a World War in less than 4 years and we were coming out of a depression and BROKE. Like no money. Comprende? During WW2 there were these things called Liberty Ships. They were 441 feet long w/2500 HP single screw engines. They could build one is FORTY TWO days. Although, they did build one in 4.5 days just for show. en.wikipedia.org During WW2 we built Bombers know as B-24 Liberators. We built 18,000 of them. EIGHTEEN THOUSAND TED! Through 1945. en.wikipedia.org Guess how long it took to pop one off the assembly line? 100 HOURS. Many pilots slept on cots at Willow Run while waiting for 'their' B-24s to roll off the assembly line. Ever hear of Rosie the Riveter? She never got a $1000 helicopter drop either. In 1962, John F. Kennedy said we;re going to the moon. 7 years later we were there. New technology develpoped along the way. The moon Ted, not a hole in the ground we already know how to drill. (BTW, any comparison of JFK to these current Congressional buffoons is tenuous at best.) Too long ago for you Ted? What about the 1994 Northridge earthquake? Estimates were it would take 2 years to repair the freeway. They worked overtime, pay a little more money and got it done in 4 MONTHS. So Ted, you wonder why I'm skeptical of the time frames pushed by the over REGULATORY dept of energy and whiney no-drill fanatics like La La Paluzzi and the rest of the Dems and Pubs that come up with excuses? They don't want to drill Ted. They love pain Ted, pain to get you to change. Carter tried that and he was run out of town. So you see why I don't buy the 10 year thing. Try a couple years in the Gulf and four for ANWR OR LESS if we start now and cut through the red tape. This nation has been taught to hate itself. Pathetic. We have done great things in the past. We can do it again.
