BB and Richard,

<Why expand if you are not making as much money?>

And another thing. To continue their industry domination, to be available to supply new markets (new demand), e.g. China and India. INTC's fabs have been cited as one of their biggest "sustainable competitive advantages", but it's only sustainable if they continue to keep them first-class, leading edge, etc. The phrase, "the best never rest" comes to mind. Is Intel going to let their competition begin to catch up while they ponder things for a few months? I don't think so.

Regards,
Teri
