It matters because the Shorty's of this world will use it to negate the toe-tappers, prostitute renters and other malefactors of the Republican party. Shorty is trying to use Democratic mayors to counter all the evidence of federal Republican bad guys. So if a former Democratic Senator is caught screwing around on his wife, that should negate, I dunno, a dozen Republican Senators who are doing the same?
