People are missing the fact that the profitability of gold companies has not declined much if at all in the past few weeks. A lower gold price is offset by lower energy, materials, and currencies like the C$.
IMO the buck is in a 'c' of a minor consolidation before heading lower but even if it did rally higher the stocks of large miners on the TSX might actually go up based on gold going up in C$.
Some of the stresses that have made mine building more expensive are also going down. Watch the XGD.to today. IMO it may be up.

FA wise a strong buck is the worst thing for the US stock market and for ressolving a credit contraction.
