Re: "quack, quack, quack, if the shoe fits, then wear it..."
What 'shoe' are you talking about, GZ?
Since I am manifestly *not* 'Liberal' nor 'Conservative' according to every objective test I've ever taken... but DEAD IN THE MIDDLE between 'Liberal' & 'Conservative', with a very strong tilt toward Libertarian positions (& away from Authoritarian ones)....
Some sort of 'shoe' that fits only you? :-)
PS --- getting away from the standardized tests for a moment, and over toward GZ's idea, I guess, of 'you are what you say you are' and 'defining yourself' regardless of what any objective tests may say --- If asked to define my own views, I'd answer that I'm strongly Libertarian (anti-Authoritarian), and strongly Fiscally Conservative, while Socially moderate or liberal... (adding the Fiscal and the Social together, as most of the tests do, and you wind-up dead in the MIDDLE of the Liberal/Conservative left/right spectrum....)
So, which 'shoe' fits GZ?
I'm guessing that you test out as strongly Authoritarian (anti-Libertarian) and - just a guess here - you also probably test right about the same spot as I do (right in the middle) on 'left/right', but probably with different underlying fundamentals... you are probably LESS fiscally conservative then I am, and MORE socially conservative then I am, but the weighted average probably puts you are right about the same spot - in the middle.
Right?
Wrong?
