In the private sector, I've seen and experienced shutdowns of non-profitable operations, shrinkage of staff - employee reductions programs - a whole string of those. This is common in private industry - not common in government. Yeah? You should see what going on around here right now. They are cutting government staff left and right. And cutting out complete programs.
