The 4850e + 780G combo goes for $162. It depends on whether you are more cost focused or more performance focused. The reviews have seemed to suggest that going with Intel gives you up to 50% more performance, and it would be competitively low power. You could probably build identically silent systems for a cost difference of about $65 (not sure what this is in pounds). If that delta in price is available to you, I think that most people end up happier with getting the higher performance product. Again, YMMV.
