Stats say it is MUCH worse than 1953 and 1993, i have a full page list of history of debt/credit in the U.S. from 1920 to now, and NOTHING compares to now except the Great Depression.
Te populace is in much worse status than in 53 and 93, once the government starts taxing you to pay for FRE and FNM and BS and Sallie Mae and as the fat cats that promoted all this are so rich that they could each one buy a 3rd world country then maybe you won't be so " everrything is O.K., we will survive, the money printing press will save us", optimism.
This country has NEVER been in deeper debt--NEVER(and gets gets worse everyday----like raising the debt ceiling from 800billon to 10.5TRILLION!!!!!!! doesn't send a signal?????????!.Then NOTHING will, nothing.
You don't believe that matters, you evidently think as long has money printer works 24/7 and all have their credit cards we America are INDESTRUCTIBLE.
You are of the generatiopn that BELIEVES the Great Depression is an old wives tale, that you will NEVER see it the EXPERTS i assured you it wil NEVER ever happen again.
All the U.S. has now between collapsing and remaining whole is huge weaponry that says to the world you better damned well keep buying our debt because we can kill faster than anyone in history.

But the populace is too damned tame to grasp they are ruled by a basic political and corporate and banker mafia. Russ Winter freely refers to Wall Street as a den of Psychopaths that have taken over the U.S.(ah, i shouldn't say sh-t like)
Mark Twain wrote a book called "The U.S.A. of Lynchderdom"(it was suppressed and was not released in its original form until the year 2000)

But at least, if this big BLACK SWAN i see in the distance lands , be prepared.
Nassim Talebs WHOLE message is, only those that protect themself agains Black Swan events, will survive a Black Swan event.(His search through history is prodigious, to back his arguments)
By the way Taleb commented on the housing collapse and the the financial crisis and said this "That was a White Swan, only fools didn't see it coming."
When he said expert after expert said "who could have known", he says as ever, the talking head experts are the dumbest damned people on the planet. Listen to them and you are listening to an idiot"(Taleb made a fortune on WS---he knows WS from THE INSIDE)

Anyone that doesn't read Taleb's "Black Swan", well that's their problem, and that will be a big problem, indeed, imHo.
It is one the greatest books on Markets and human behavior ever written.
